Chanel Cruise 2018-2

The new 2018 Chanel Cruise collection, which took place in Grand Palais in Paris, travelled us to Ancient Greece, with this stunning fashion show. Karl Lagerfeld whose first book was Greek Odyssey from Homer, was inspired by the nymphs, goddesses and women of Ancient Greece, and brought them to life through fashion. With the outcome being the least breathtaking, we can only admire the masterpieces of this collection. The whole runway was a celebration of fluidity with silk, linen, lace and crepe, sandals and statement pieces of jewelry which combined perfectly the personality of Ancient Greece and the classical style of Chanel with the gold being the main focus of this collection. The vases and the entire decoration, the columns and the ancestral frescoes brought the whole show together and truly represented an Ancient Greek temple, with the olive tree and the warm notes of the sunset as the perfect final touches.

Let’s see some of the photos from the show:

Fashion never stops seeking for inspiration even on the streets. The most recent designers’ collection are inspired by the street culture and mix classic and contemporary elements creating the trends for each season. The white t-shirt has become an essential for women’s style because from a daywear must-have, it has now become the perfect item that can update a nightwear look. According to the latest trends, the white t-shirt is undoubtedly a must-have and can be worn under a minimal slip dress or a black lingerie top resulting in a different and elegant outfit. See how the white t-shirt became a streetstyle phenomenon in the following pictures:

Paris Fashion Week is already over and we saw many impressive collections. The most beautiful ones are undoubtedly these from Chanel, Elie Saab, Balmain and Sonia Rykiel. I also liked Martin Grant’s creations because of their feminine character and strict lines. I believe everybody enjoyed Zuhair Murad’s designs as there is nothing more chic than a black and white combination.  However, if I could attend one show only, this would have been the one from Joie. This brand showed the most dreamy and lovely designs. I won’t babble any longer; take a look at some of the most interesting shows (in our opinion) below!!

Some of the biggest names of fashion such as Alessandro Michele and Miuccia Prada presented the trends for the Fall 2016 season, in their own unique way. The most impressive and complete collections were the ones by Gucci and Prada, as they were full of colour and brimming over with bold and directional uses of textures and patterns. Fashion’s rose-tinted glasses are out in full force in Milan. LFW Ready-to-wear fw2016-2017

London Fashion Week is already over, and I can’t say I was impressed by most presentations. I think that LFW is my least favorite of all. I did find some favorites though, and here’s what I noticed about the whole LFW and what I liked about these particular collections. Most collections were way over-the-top, with too much layering, prints, and presentations that, in my opinion, took away from the designs. The ones I liked, were more minimal, and used beautiful colors (some of the times pastels too), mesh or lace. My hands down favorites were David Koma, Eudon Choi, Jasper Conran, and Xiao Li. You can see all the shows here. Let us know which one was your favorite designer for this season.
