Look of the day Dusty pink & greySince we’re slowly moving deeper and deeper into fall, we thought about creating a transitional outfit, that would look amazing during this season. Today’s look is based on two colors: dusty pink & grey. Dusty pink is a trend that is still going strong, and grey, is a classic for all seasons. Pick a pair or high-waisted pants in dusty pink and pair them with a nice knitted crop top in the same color. Then go for a nice pair of high heeled pumps in grey suede, that will elongate your figure and make your look more elegant and feminine, and match them with a small cross-body bag in the same color. A pair of silver hoop earrings, with pearls, would go perfectly well with your look.

Look of the day - Black & RedBlack and red is a timeless combination that can be worn both in winter and in summer. It’s actually one of my favorite combos to wear, because it’s such a classic; you can’t go wrong with these two colors. When I wear black and red together, I always go for a red lip as well. It makes the look so much better, and it brings it all together. Today’s look is based on a very simple and casual off-the shoulder black dress, which, paired with a nice pair of t-strap cat ballerinas it has a more Parisian vibe to it. Especially if you add a nice cross-body red bag, like this one I’m showing here by Furla. It might be the most expensive option of everything I’m showing you today, but bags are “investment” pieces, and if you take good care of them, you can hold them for years and years, and maybe pass them on to your daughter or granddaughter some day. Who knows? Finish off the look with a skinny red leather belt and a minimal 3-tier long necklace for an A+ outfit of the day! Perfect for the morning, the afternoon or the night out! 😉

Look of the day - Striped culotte jumpsuitSometimes, I’m taking inspiration out of my own outfits and taste, to create the look of the day here, and this time, I got inspired by a pair of culottes I recently bought. Culottes can look amazing if they’re worn the right way, and culotte jumpsuits are very summery, and perfect for the hot weather. Today’s look is almost total white, but not quite. The key piece of this look is of course this striped culotte jumpsuit with the spaghetti straps, that cuts a little bit under the knees. You can pair it with strappy white high heeled sandals, or a pair or mules, if the jumpsuit is too long. If you’re not a fan of heels, you can always wear it with a nice pair of espadrilles, slipons, or espadrille slippers, which are all really good options, and widely available this season. For the bag, I’d either go with a small black & white backpack, or a small cross-body bag. White looks amazing with silver jewelry. A nice skinny cuff bracelet, and long silver earrings are all the jewelry you need in summer. And an updo is recommended, to fight the heat. You can either braid your hair a bit, to give your hairstyle a bit more texture. What do you say?

How to style fishnet tights 5

One of the biggest fashion trends of fall/winter 2016/2017 is definitely fishnet tights. We’ve already started seeing them everywhere, in blogs and streets worldwide, so we think it’s time to discuss about this trend on Stylishly Beautiful. Fishnets are not a new trend. They’re actually having a comeback from the early 00’s, but many ladies are afraid to follow that trend, because they don’t know how to style fishnet tights without looking trashy or vulgar. You don’t have to worry anymore though, because we’re here to give you our advice. The easiest way to wear your fishnets is under a pair of ripped jeans. This way, the effect is really subtle, but it’s there, and that’s good enough. Our second favorite way to wear fishnets is with long sweaters or slitted sweater dresses and chunky booties or biker boots. You can combine them with a biker jacket as well, for a rock/grunge touch. The 3rd way is of course with skirts: mini skirts (always with low boots for an everyday look, or if you don’t want to look too sexy), or pencil midi skirts, for a more sophisticated look. Last but not least, if you want a subtler effect, you can wear fishnet socks with your booties, pumps or even sandals, to make the outfit more interesting and on trend! 😉

Trend report - Slip dress over a T-shirt

Another trend straight from the ‘90s that is having a comeback, like the chocker necklaces we discussed on the previous post, is the slip dress over a T-shirt one. It started re-appearing during the spring season, but it’s definitely going strong into fall, with more and more women choosing it for their everyday life. It’s better paired with sneakers or flats in general, since the T-shirt is meant to dress down your favorite slip dress making it more of a casual attire. But it can definitely be paired with booties and heels as the Jenner/Kardashian clan has demonstrated many times over the past few months. Whichever way you choose, it is going to reinvent your casual outfits, making them stand out. Are you going to try it out?

Not wearing white after Labor Day is a rule – an old rule – that is being seen as an old snobbery thing today. The rule is clear: wear white during summer, it means, between Memorial and Labor Day. And after that, forget that white exists, wear what was or sometimes still is called as “Fall and winter” colors. Coco Chanel defied the rule and wore white all year long. What about you? Do you agree with the “rule”? Or do you wear white in winter, too? We have a great selection of Fall and Winter items now – and com’on, if fashion industry produces pieces with long sleeves… it’s because we can wear white after Labor Day! If you feel uncomfortable, anyway, maybe start mixing white with other colors:
