NYFW Fall 2016 Ready-to-wear

Well, the fashion month has already started, and NYFW has come to an end. Naturally we wanted to write a full report on it, and after spending hours looking at all the shows, and picking out the good from the bad, I’ve came up with 25(!) favorite collections from this season. I was glad to see that many designers incorporated spring into their fall collections, using bold and pastel colors on chunky knits, and coats. Gray and hats are still trends that are going strong to the next seasons as well, and that’s also something which find me in agreement, since I’m a fan of those trends. My usual favorites Victoria Beckham and Christian Siriano disappointed me a bit for this season, but I there were some other brands whose collections I really fancied, such as: Banana Republic, Bibhu Mohapatra, Escada, J.Crew, Kate Spade New York, Lela Rose and Polo Ralph Lauren. All in all it was a good Fashion Week, with the good and the bad. You can see all the shows here, and pick out your favorites!

Fashion month is still on, in the sparkling city of Milan, with fashion shows and many events proving that the fashion capital is glamorous all night long. For the Spring 2016 season, many designers did a flashback at the 60’s decade such as Prada while other continued their winter collections with the same vintage mood such as Alessandro Michele for Gucci. Also, Peter Dundas made his Roberto Cavalli debut combining the house’s basic silhouettes with his own aesthetics and Massimo Giorgetti presented a special collection for Emilio Pucci’s fashion house by the time he was appointed as a creative director. These are our favorite designers looks of Milan Fashion Week:

LFW Spring 2016 ready to wear featured

Milan Fashion Week is slowly coming to an end, but before we cover that one, it’s London Fashion Week’s turn. Many designers showed their new collections on London Fashion Week, but only few managed to impress us. Among them, my personal favorites: Daks, Felder Felder, Issa, Peter Pilotto, Temperley London, and last but not least Topshop Unique. Their collections really managed to catch my attention, because of their clean lines and interesting designs! The rest of the collections featured many prints and materials which made them look non-wearable, but LFW is known for its alternative vibes and extravagant designer pieces. Which one was your favorite collection?

NYFW Spring 2015 Ready-to-wear - Alexander WangAlexander Wang

The only thing I like about Autumn is that Fashion Weeks begin as soon as it begins tooThe opening of these series of fashionable events takes part in New York every time and each time, stylish people around the world wait for it. Once again, we fell in love with Carolina Herrera’s romantic creations and Oscar de la Renta’s floral ones. Undoubtedly, the most suitable for Spring are the ones from Polo Ralph Lauren. They are colorful, feminine and so chic. We also saw some boho and ethnic elements like Tommy Hilfiger’s and Anna Sui’s designs. Take a look at what was presented on New York’s Fashion Week for Spring 2016.

The fashion month ends with Paris Fashion Week, perhaps the most important fashion week since there were collections of giant brands presented such as Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, etc. The fashion fans were thrilled with the unique collection by Raf Simons for the Christian Dior House, as long boots are a trademark for the Fall 2015 collection. In addition, a particular sensation was caused by the “revival” of Christobal Balenciaga’s design talent from Alexander Wang since his strong designs almost reached the top. Below, you’ll get a small taste of the designers’ shows for the Fall 2015 season. If you want to see the entire collection of each designer, all you have to do is click on the links after the collages. Have a fun and relaxing time fashion lovers! See you on the next fashion month!!

Fall 2015 LFW SB Ready to Wear

Fashion month is still on, this time in London. The smaller fashion week than the four of them is over, leaving us with less favorite looks as the shows weren’t many. Mary Katrantzou’s collection with the exceptional and unique prints used along with the exquisite collection of Christopher Kane based in simple, yet elegant silhouettes stood out for the fashion crowd. Also, the same impact had Burberry Prorsum’s collection featuring the brand’s iconic coats. These are the best looks of the designers! You can also see their entire collections by clicking on the links below the photos. Come back soon to learn about fashion week news, because fashion month is still not over!!

PFW Spring 2015 Ready to wear FeaturedAnd we’ve finally reached the end of Paris Fashion Week, and the end of the fashion month. I’m happy to report that the last day was a nice surprise to an otherwise, not very interesting fashion week, despite the well-known designers that it included. For me the highlight of the day were the bright & ethereal creations of Rahul Mishra, followed by Miu Miu and Masha Ma for their feminine lines and the abundance of pencil skirts. I was also a fan of Hermes’, Louis Vuitton’s and Moncler Gamme Rouge’s collections, for their mostly clean and minimal lines, and interesting designs.

PFW RTW Spring 2015 Day 8 featuredParis Fashion Week has almost come to an end (it ends today), and we’re finally ready to wave this fashion month goodbye, because even though we didn’t go to the actual shows, even covering them from the comfort of our houses, was not an easy job. So don’t get me wrong, but I feel a bit relieved for that fact. I was eagerly waiting for day 8 to come, because I wanted to see the shows of Chanel, Valentino and Alexander McQueen. While Valentino had some really nice pieces in this collection, I wasn’t that impressed with the other two. I loved the idea of Chanel Boulevard, and how everything was presented, but I didn’t like the actual collection that much. I think Chanel left their usual classic feminine chic image behind, and did something different with their last 2 collections. More colors, more prints, and a lot of sporty chic again! Sporty chic was definitely a trend we saw in many collections this season, so it’s definitely going to be big again this spring. My favorites of the day were: Valentin Yudashkin for his dreamy, and feminine creations, and Shiatzy Chen. Which were your favorites of the day?

Elie Saab Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear

As the Fashion Week of Paris comes to an end, things are getting more interesting. On day seven, we saw some of the most famous houses, like Stella McCartney, Elie Saab, Veronique Branquinho, Sonia Rykiel and Sain Laurent. Everyone showed some great designs but I really loved the ones by Elie Saab. They are feminine and unique, in stunning shades, which remind of spring time. This was a day which I definitely wanted to be there. Let’s see what was presented that day.

PFW day 6 spring 2015 ready to wear featuredIt was the 6th day of the Paris Fashion Week yesterday, and while we have lots more shows to see, so far I’m not that impressed. I believe that Milan Fashion Week had much more interesting collections to show. Among all the shows of the day, the ones that stood out for me were Maxime Simoëns (which was my favorite of the day) for its colorful and feminine pieces, and then, Martin Grant, who kept it minimal but still feminine (even in darker hues) and Akris, because of the sporty chic vibe I got from the show. Let’s see all the designers of the day. As usual you can click on the links below the photos to see their whole collections.
