Junya Watanabe Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear

We can’t imagine fashion week without some crazy, theatrical collections like Vivienne Westwood’s, Junya Watanabe’s and the Japanese Comme des Garçons’ as the highlight !

However, on the fifth day, monochrome outfits were the ones which stood out the most, with black and white starring in almost every collection. What impressed me the most, was no other than Thierry Mugler‘s show, whose collection was designed by David Koma and while the lines of his collection were stricter, with blazers and suits, they still remained feminine enough!

I expected many things from Paris Fashion Week so I am not going to lie about it. I did not see enough breathtaking creations even during day 4. We mostly saw dark and white shades. I thought that Spring is about colors and floral patterns but every single designer had different plans. However I liked some pieces but I only found two of them interesting. Firstly, Christian Dior showed us some stunning designs and I have to admit that it was the best Ready-to-Wear I had ever seen. Also, Andrew Gn had some unique and not at all monotonous patterns and this was a lovely surprise. So take a look at what was presented that day.

Paris Fashion Week Day 3On the third day of the Paris Fashion Week black & white and blue sihlouettes made their appearance. However, there were also colorful looks; don’t forget that we’re talking about spring. In my opinion, the cut-outs and transparencies on Balmain’s outfits made an impression. Some of the looks may be simple but, simplicity is all you need to be chic. The third day of the shows ended great, in my opinion of course, with monochrome and a small dose of drama by Lanvin’s designer Alber Elbaz. We’re still on the begginning and we have so much more to see… Can’t wait! Until then, get a taste of yesterday’s shows:

PFW Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear day 2 featuredThe second day of Paris Fashion Week wasn’t as impressive as I expected it to be. I can’t say that I liked a lot of collections, but I can tell you which ones stood out in my opinion. I LOVED Guy Laroche’s creations, and I would happily wear each and every one of them; some minimal, some printed, but all very feminine and pretty. After Guy Laroche, I liked Balenciaga’s collection (with Alexander Wang behind the wheel) for its pure, strict lines and decorative embellishments. However, I didn’t enjoy the dark, kind of futuristic vibe of the show. My next favorites were the creations of Alexis Mabille, and Sonia by Sonia Rykiel whose collection included a lot of pink and was a refreshing and playful note among the mostly black and white pieces of other collections. On the other side, on the top of the collections I didn’t like, were Dries Van Noten’s creations full of printed pieces mixed together, while the models were walking on a forest-like carpet. Which ones were your favorites of the day?

So since yesterday Paris Fashion Week is on and I am pretty excited for the big shows! During day one I had high expectations which fell apart the moment I checked the shows! Most of the collections were medium, and some were really bad like the “Hood by air” one. There was a lot of black and white (which I don’t really like) in many shows, but of course there were bright exceptions of spring-full collections like the ones by Pascal Millet and Jacquemus! So let’s see what happened during day 1!

Milan Fashion Week Day 5Last day of Milan Fashion Week with not very impressive looks, but they were few which stood out. The storage space in the heels of Dolce & Gabbana and their lace dresses received the best reviews. Also, the audience loved Marni‘s judo belts and the simple and elegant looks of Trussardi. I hope that in the next MFW the team of Stylishly Beautiful will be there with live reports and reviews. Now let’s see what happened the last day of the shows…

Antonio Marras Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear

Antonio Marras Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear

This is officially my favorite Fashion Week. It’s already Day 4 and we saw some unique creations. This time, I found it very difficult to choose just four pieces made by Giorgio Armani because of the beauty of pastels and earthly shades. I had the same problem with Elisabetta Franchi because of her ladylike designs. You will love Roberto Cavalli’s collection with the colorful and intense prints, especially the maxi dresses. Take a look of Day Four’s Ready-to-Wear collections and tell me what caught your attention. I’m sure you will find out some impressive pieces.

Featured MFW Ready-to-wear Spring 2015The 3rd day of the Milan Fashion Week had lots of great designers that were presenting their new collections. Among them, I really enjoyed the retro-kind creations of Ermanno Scervino, Philipp Plein and Versace, that played a lot with pastel colors, and perforated leather along with their signature print. I also enjoyed the designs of Giamba, Iceberg and Aigner for their feminine lines and pretty colors and prints. All in all, I enjoyed most of the collections, except maybe for 1 or 2, such as Etro (which reminded me of the 70’s) and Missoni (I was never a fan of their prints).

Blugirl Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear

The second day of MFW is here and I hope you are as excited as I am. Italians gave their best and showed us some amazing designs. Emporio Armani triumphed with its stunning dark blue shades and Just Cavalli with its unique patterns. I always choose one collection with the most beautiful girly pieces as a favorite, and this time it’s totally the ones from Blugirl. They are floral and airy for every occasion. So take a look at what was presented that day.

Yesterday the fashion week moved South, to Italy, for some gelato and dolce vita! The day started with Chicca Lualdi’s very chic collection and continued with our very own Angelos Bratis’ show which we totally loved! The collection I crave the most was by Stella Jean and I really want these pieces cause I have never seen so many wonderful colors and beautiful hand-paintings mixed together! All in all, I found almost all the collections pretty interesting and I just can’t wait for more Italian fashion!
