Wooden shoes are not really a trend, since they are being worn for many years, but every time summer arrives they come back at many shops and many designers’ collections! Let’s be honest, they are lovely and comfortable! Obviously the high heeled-versions are good for summer evenings, but the low heeled-ones can be worn for strolls and going to the beach and taverns. So versatile! Let’s see the latest selection!

Clogs are back – in fact, they never really “left” 🙂 When summer comes, and with it beaches, swimming pools and comfortable outfits, clogs are always welcome! They look a bit “hippyish”, but there are styles that are so elegant! Good brands and designers are offering them, so let’s see some styles!

Trends - Summer prints by Zara 2Prints are one of the biggest trends of this summer, and Zara is one of the first ones to follow a trend, and help us fashionistas stay in fashion. This summer’s collection is full of prints, so you’ll find many items to choose from. Personally I’m not a big fan of them, but I’m starting to like some kinds of florals, like the floral skirt in one of these photos. What about you? Are you going to follow this trend? Do you like wearing prints?

Butterfly print is not really a “trend”, because it is always fashionable – one can wear it every year, we can always find pieces of butterfly printed clothing anytime. Some trends come a year before they actually start being worn. This is now the butterfly print case – a trend well announced last year, but that didn’t quite make it. This year, though, it is in many collections and stores and very nice to be worn now that summer is approaching! Let’s check out what the shops offer right now, with the beautiful print!

It seems there’s a new trend – well, not that “new”, rather a comeback – that was seen on the London runways lately – brocade and tapestry! Even the smallest details were covered by that, having the Burberry Prorsum show opened by a song from the Tapestry album, by Carole King, a definite mention to the 70s, when brocade and tapestry were so in, with so nice patchwork items.

The camel coat entered the list of trends a few years ago, and as it seems, it’s here for good and this winter it’s the strongest trend in coats. Even though camel is a specific color, the butterscotch brown, many clothing firms have a wider camel color palette so you can find darker or lighter versions in the market! So if you want to invest in a camel coat do it and take some styling tips from the global fashion goddesses!

Logomania is back with total strength! It was a sign of style and good taste in the 90s, when you could wear brands and their visible logos from head to toe… after some time, it was restricted to sunglasses and some bags. The new century considered wearing some logos kitsch and tasteless. Now Louis Vuitton (who never stopped displaying the famous LV logo on their goods), for example, launched a collection – as part of the 160th brand anniversary – called “Celebrating Monogram” (or the Icon and the Iconoclasts), with designers such as Christian Louboutin, Karl Lagerfeld and Rei Kawakubo, among many others, showing their take on Louis Vuitton goods. Lagerfeld, for instance, created boxing gloves and even a punching bag using LV logo. Louboutin designed a shopping trolley and Rei Kawakubo, the Comme des Garçons designer, the bag shown below.
