Since 1990, the Pantone Color Institute picks what is called Color of the Year. It’s not randomly picked, on the contrary. It is a matter of an extensive research till they get to the color that will be announced. This year, the color is Marsala – a burgundy/brown shade, already shown here.

Have you already picked your Marsala items for this spring? Here are some ideas!

New essie Spring 2015 nail polish collectionThe new spring 2015 nail polish collection by essie, has 6 colors, from nude ones, to bold ones. Perennial chic is a beige/nude with pink undertones, while its sister picked perfect is a nude/brownish color. Blossom dandy is a perfect minty green and garden variety a bright teal one. Petal pushers is a beautiful deep grey, which would look perfect with every outfit, and finally flowerista is the most beautiful fuchsia pink you’ve ever seen, and my personal favorite from the whole collection. The nail polishes go around 8,5$ each but you’ll also find them in mini packages of 4.

Alexander Wang’s new ads for his Spring ’15 campaign feature models that the label has been working with, together with some new faces, instead of a celebrity in the area of music or cinema. The theme was a party bus, and the designer says it replicates what happened to him, when he rented a party bus – so he could really display something he experienced.

Couture week for spring 2015 has come to an end, and we’re here to show you some of the best couture pieces from the collections. Some collections were futuristic, like the ones by Atelier Versace, some really theatrical, and in some cases over-the-top, like Valentino, Viktor & Rolf and Maison Martin Margiela, and some a bit disappointing like big house names such as Christian Dior and Chanel. My personal favorite ones were the absolute dreamy creations by Elie Saab, and Zuhair Murad. The creations of the latter surprised me, for being even dreamier than the ones from Elie Saab, who has been known for creating fairytale-like dresses over the years. Here are some of my picks, from all the collections. You can click on the links under the photos to be directed to the collections’ pages.

David Beckham has expanded his collaboration with H&M. He shows some wardrobe essentials like jeans, jackets – and, calm down, underwear as well! This spring look for Modern Essentials Selected by David Beckham at H&M  – a recipe for immediate success, for sure! As usual!

Beckham was the model for the campaign of his selected favorite pieces, under the lenses of Marc Forster. David says that “each piece is a classic, that will update men’s wardrobes for spring in great style”. He also said that he is very enthusiastic with the new range of clothes and that it shows the real clothes he wears “day in and day out”.

The collection, as well as the latest Bodywear range, will be available at H&M from March 5th.

Take a look at the H&M Behind the scenes film with David Beckham and Marc Forster down below.

John Galliano is someone who is always recreating himself. As the creative director of Dior and his own brand, we all waited for Galliano’s new look after each collection. He was already blond with long hair, then a dandy with short hair and a thin moustache, among so many other looks. His looks were as strongly waited as his collections. Well, nearly 4 years ago Galliano was dismissed by Maison Dior and his brand also closed. Then he worked for Oscar de la Renta and L’Etoiles, a Russian cosmetics’ brand. But then in October 2014 he was hired by Renzo Rosso, owner of OTB group, that controls Maison Martin Margiela. They shared, officially, that John Galliano would make his comeback and show his first collection for the brand in January 2015, called Artisanal. And this is it – he did so on Jan 12th, for only 100 guests in London, during the London Menswear Fashion Week.
