H&M Studio AW 2018 Neo Noir Chic collection 11This September, H&M Studio releases its A/W18 womenswear collection, entitled “Neo Noir Chic”, and inspired by the original cult 90’s series Twin Peaks. The dream logic aesthetic is writ large over a collection of ladylike statement pieces and borrowed-from-the-boys wardrobe classics. Fifties movie icons, with their era-defining looks, provide further nostalgic stimulus, yielding precise, sculpting wool dresses and nipped-in coated cotton trench coats as well as indigo precision denim jackets, sturdy turn-up jeans and a grunge-infused viscose-silk suit. Cosy, hairy cropped knits and elegant neck-tie blouses are equally key pieces. “With H&M Studio, we love the play between the feminine and masculine and this year we added a 50’s twist – there are ultra-feminine options combined with mannish details and super-classic pieces that invite you to create your own distinctive look,” said Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M’s Design Director. The collection, which comprises clothing, shoes and accessories, will be available to buy online and in selected stores from 6 September.

Moschino x H&M collaborationIt was recently announced through Gigi Hadid’s Instagram live, that the newest designer collaboration of H&M is going to be with Jeremy Scott, and Moschino. The official announcement took place at Moschino’s annual party at the Coachella festival in California. Jeremy Scott designed a collection of clothes, accessories (and pending surprises!) both for women and men. The collection is called Moschino (tv) H&M, and it’s full joy, happiness, and the humour that made the brand one of the most loved in the fashion world. “I’m super excited about Moschino (tv) H&M. My whole life, my job was to connect with people through fashion. And with this collaboration, I’ll be able to reach more people than ever” stated Jeremy Scott, Moschino’s creative director. “The Moschino (tv) H&M is the perfect collaboration that the fashion world needs right now. It combines pop culture, urban fashion, logos and glamour. Jeremy Scott is incredible – he knows how to play with fashion and engage with his fans all over the world” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative consultant of H&M. The collection is going to hit the stores on November 8.

Nicki Minaj stars in H&M's Magical Holiday filmNicki Minaj will star in H&M’s 2017 Holiday campaign film alongside Jesse Williams and John Turturro. Directed by Johan Renck, the film tells a story of a parallel fantasy world filled with memorable characters and a universal message of caring for one another. A modern take on the classic fairytale, the film centres around a heroic little girl who tracks down the evil brother of Santa Claus in order to save the holiday season from his selfishness. Nicki Minaj stars as the mother of the little girl as well as the fabulous fairy named the Wisest Thingy, while Jesse Williams plays the dual role of the father and the supernatural Fastest Fairy, and John Turturro takes on the part of both Santa Claus and the evil brother of Santa Claus.

Erdem x H&M campaignAcclaimed photographer Michal Pudelka has created a unique series of images for the ERDEM x H&M print campaign, playing with the idea of family portraits. The evocative images were taken during the shooting of Baz Luhrmann’s short film for the collaboration where super models joined the actors in a series of group shots, adding an extra dimension to the ERDEM x H&M world.

“We thought it would be great to do a modern take on classical family portraits, creating characters in ERDEMS’s world. The ERDEM x H&M collection really spoke to me, and the working process felt authentic and creatively charged,” says Michal Pudelka. The campaign stars super models Saskia de Brauw, Imaan Hammam, Grace Hertzel, Fernando Cabral, Neels Visser and Tony Ward. They are joined by actors Ruby Dagnall, Tom Rhys Harries, Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Harriet Walter.
