New Year's Eve shoes - Shopping Guide

New Year’s Eve is approaching in a really fast pace, so since we’ve covered the subject of party-wear in this post, I thought it’s time to finally cover the subject of shoes. My favorite subject of all, if you don’t already know it. Since it’s the holiday season, we all want to add some more sparkle into our party outfits, and what better way to do that than with a pair or shiny, bold, or even better, glittery shoes. It doesn’t mind if they’re sandals, pumps or even booties, as long as they shine bright for the best night of the year. We want to welcome 2018 in the best way possible, and sparkling shoes do help, believe me!

Holiday party dresses 2017 It’s clearly our favorite time of the year, and that’s because we love holiday dressing and parties in general. So naturally, we had to share with your this season’s finds for you to be the best dressed in those Christmas parties you’re going to attend this year. Sequins are a holiday classic. If you purchase a sequined dress, you can easily wear it again and again, year after year. It never goes out of style, because it’s such a classic style. Lace is also very popular around this season, so it’s your next best choice for partywear. Velvet is perfect for the holiday season, and it’s very much in trend over the past few years, so it’s definitely a valid choice for this season’s parties. And fringes have a retro vibe that is very popular over the holidays. The choices are endless. You just have to choose the style that fits your personal taste, and choose between a mini, a midi or a maxi dress. Keep your accessories to the minimum, pick a nice pair of high heels and a beautiful hairstyle and you’re ready to dance the night away in style. So what’s going to be  your choice for this holiday season? You can shop for all these dresses through the widget below! 😉

Best Christmas Sweaters for 2017We just love the holiday season, and we couldn’t wait to share with your our favorite Christmas sweaters for this year. It’s kind of a tradition here at Stylishly Beautiful. Who doesn’t love dressing thematically around this time? Cozing up in your Christmas sweater, while eating great food next to the fireplace sounds amazing. And we might not have seen any snow in Greece so far , but we’re definitely ready for it. So we picked these sweaters to help you choose your favorite one for this year. They’re all so pretty, including slogans like “Dear Santa, define good”, “Santa’s Squad”, “Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal”, “Nobody puts this Elf on the shelf”, and many more, which we find hilarious. But if you don’t like slogans, you can find beautiful sweaters in nice styles that have cute animals on them, like reindeers or owls. And you can even find sweater dresses that look amazing. We’ve picked our top 12 for you, but you can definitely find many more online. You can shop for all of these from the widget below (under shop the post). Let us know which style if your favorite one. Look of the day - Sock BootsDo you remember sock boots? They were very popular at the early 00s, and this year, they’re having a comeback. We’ll talk about this trend in a future post soon (stay tuned), but we wanted to incorporate that trend in today’s look. We love sock boots that are pointy and high heeled, so we picked a pair that has all these elements, but it also has a very interesting detailing: lazer cuts. Since these are ankle boots, you should combine them with a mini dress to make your legs look longer. We picked a grey checked mini dress with ruffles and uneven front, because checked prints and ruffles are also a huge trend right now. Since the print and the lazer cut of the booties are both very bold, pick a nice discreet layered necklace in gold to add on top of it. Now finish off your look with a black leather cross body bag, with gold details and chain, and with a nice fitted black leather biker jacket, to make the look more edgy. The sock boots will look amazing with the biker jacket and the bag, and will add a rock note to your look, while the mini dress will make your look more feminine and sexy. Leave your hair down for a more relaxed look and rock your outfit with confidence.

Look of the day_Suit upIf you ever saw the tv-series How I met your mother, you could easily guess what today’s post is about. Barney Stinson used to ask his friends to suit up all the time. The official meaning is to wear something more formal or a uniform in general. I would like to emphasise to Barney’s definition and present you a formal look similar to suit.

Pearls trend - shopping guideOne of the biggest trends of this season, is definitely the pearls trend. I’m sure you’ve already seen it around over the past few weeks, if you’ve visited any stores, or did some online shopping. Pearls are a “huge trend” that will be everywhere this fall/winter. So far, we’ve seen it on sweaters, jeans, skirts, pants, blouses, booties etc. They’re so elegant and bring out something really chic, even Parisian, so most women already love it and are searching to find a few nice pieces to add to their wardrobe. That’s one of the reasons we decided to do this shopping guide today.

Look of the day - Stylish in brogues for fallWhether we like it or not, fall is already here, and sooner or later, we’ll have to start wearing pants, instead of shorts, or skirts. Thankfully, when you live in a country such as Greece, fall weather isn’t actually very cold, so you can get away with wearing your summer clothes with closed-toe shoes and a cardigan or blazer on top. This look is for those of you who want the summer to last a little bit longer, but also to slowly start wearing warmer clothes. Don’t worry, we’ve all been there. The transition can be easy, if you choose lighter colors, to have the illusion that it’s still summer. For today’s outfit we played a lot with light blue and white. Brogues, ballerina flats and slip-ons are weather-appropriate and can take you to work or to shopping in style. Pair your long pants, with a summer top with ruffles, pick a crossbody bag in a light color, and a pair of bright sunglasses, and you have the look! Don’t forget to get a cardigan, or even an umbrella with you, because fall weather can be unpredictable. 😉

Look of the day - Black & RedBlack and red is a timeless combination that can be worn both in winter and in summer. It’s actually one of my favorite combos to wear, because it’s such a classic; you can’t go wrong with these two colors. When I wear black and red together, I always go for a red lip as well. It makes the look so much better, and it brings it all together. Today’s look is based on a very simple and casual off-the shoulder black dress, which, paired with a nice pair of t-strap cat ballerinas it has a more Parisian vibe to it. Especially if you add a nice cross-body red bag, like this one I’m showing here by Furla. It might be the most expensive option of everything I’m showing you today, but bags are “investment” pieces, and if you take good care of them, you can hold them for years and years, and maybe pass them on to your daughter or granddaughter some day. Who knows? Finish off the look with a skinny red leather belt and a minimal 3-tier long necklace for an A+ outfit of the day! Perfect for the morning, the afternoon or the night out! 😉

What to wear to summer festivalsSummer means lots of summer music festivals to go to. If you’re wondering, “what should I wear to a music festival” then this article is for you! First rule for such festivals is to be comfortable, so you can stand and dance for hours. Lightweight sneakers such as Converse Chuck Taylor’s are perfect for the occasion, because you don’t want to be wearing open sandals, to avoid getting stepped on, and getting too dirty from the all the dust. Then, wear a pair of shorts, combined with a simple sleeveless tank top (maybe with the band logo, the one you’re there to watch). A backpack might be the obvious answer here, but I urge you to be careful and choose a cross body bag instead, so you can have it in front of you to avoid heaving things stolen from your bag, when you’re not watching. Since most music festivals start early in the day, don’t forget to bring a pair of sunglasses, and maybe a hat too. Wear lots of sunscreen, and bring bottles of water to keep yourself hydrated. A nice solution if you want your hair to be out of the way, and keep your neck dry, is to boxer braid your hair into space buns. That way you can really enjoy the festival, without having to worry about the heat or the wind blowing your hair in your face. Hope we helped! Have fun!
